Busy!

Sorry Everyone, I've been extremely busy
University Assignments are a killer
The Grand Final was epic! DRAW

I've been cycling a little bit, but I've been working on the weekends to save up to hopefully go overseas IF I can get enough money saved up in time.

I rode today in almost perfect weather, yelled at some guy who cut me off on my bike.
I hope you are all keeping well, and I promise to make up for this lost time as I'm on holidays this week!

Keep Pedaling!

Been Busy

Sorry I haven't been posting too much, I haven't really had anything that exciting happen lately though and I've been busy with assignments. I've been spending my time reading all of your posts instead of posting for myself.

Only thing I can really think of, is that I'm thinking of getting some carbon racing wheels.
They are a little bit expensive for me at the moment though, but hey.. I can keep saving up!

Hopefully I can get them before the summer racing season starts as they would make a hell of a difference!
Also the World Championships are coming to Melbourne in a few weeks time! I can't wait to go and see the best in the world ride around my area!

I hope you are all well, keep fit!

Advice Needed

Well, I know this has nothing to do with bikes, but I thought you might be able to help me out.

I'm looking at getting a laptop for my birthday, just wondering what you all are using, or what you think would be a good laptop to buy.
I like the lightweight/thin/long batter of the Macbooks, but I'm not sure if I really want to buy a Mac...

Let me know.
Thank you my followers, and keep pedaling!

Mountain Biking!

Today I headed out on a nice mountain bike ride.
Had to drive like 1hr to get there and it was a 6:30am wake up, but it was soo worth it!

I killed it today, only person in my group to go down on of the sections without either falling off, or not even attempting it.

I'm exhausted now, but its all in training for the "Round the Bay" bike ride in a few weekends time.
I might get some pics of when I went to France uploaded at some point so you can see the places that I've ridden.

Keep pedaling my followers.

Health Tip!

I have added a new gadget to the bottom of my page.
Seeing that cyclists are massively into self health then these tips might be useful.
However if you want more life tips head on over to my mates site:

http://terronecentury.blogspot.com/

Also went for a ride last night, got home about 5mins before the rain came. Lucky I pushed it on the way home even managing to drop the other people in my group!!

Might be a bit of a slack weekend for me because I have an interview and some other things to go to.
However I'm hoping to get back out on the mountain bike on Sunday and have a bit of a hit out.

Thank you for the support!

Pinball is Gone!

I removed the pinball game as it was the source of that annoying music that was being played.
Sorry to those that enjoyed the game...

Unless I can figure out either a way to mute the game or get some better music then it's gone!

When cycling meets cycling!

Check out this awesome video of a Downhill mountain biker jumping over the tour de France peloton as they ascend the famous Alpe d'Huez.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x36pwxmHw0A

edit*
He actually jumped over them on the Col de Galibier.
I should have recognized that mountain scenery after only being there all of 2 months ago!
But it was done on the stage that finished on Alpe d'Huez, thats where I got confused!

Todays Ride

Headed out on the Mountain Bike today it rained LOTS over night and was very windy.
The trails were a mess but still awesome fun.
Rode through a couple of knee deep puddles that I managed to get my shoes full of water from.
Mate fell off his road bike today, so he is a bit battered.

Hopefully this shocking weather will clear off soon as I need to begin training for 'Round the Bay in a day'.

Keep pedaling my followers!

Cycling Videos

Some of my favorite cycling videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsPemjFoXUk
This guy just fails!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1-WSpiTFR0
He finished the stage and wasn't injured that badly, though cyclist getting back on his bike!

For those of you that are about the speed, this is by far the most ultimate aerodynamic position!

It's raining here yet again, so I can't get out on the bike :(
I was on the wind trainer trying to keep some fitness, but nothing compares to the real road!

My Rig!

Currently I'm riding a Look 555.
My Look has Ultegra SL on it and Bonterager X-Lite wheels.

It was epic check out the guy that does the back flip along the railing!

Today I would love to be getting out on my bike, but unfortunantly its pouring with rain!
So I guess I'll just have to blog instead xD

For my next cycling adventure I would love to go to Canada/American and ride around in the mountains, I'm a light weight, so I really like riding around in the mountains!

Any suggestions?

France

Just recently I got back from my second cycling holiday in France.
I spent 1 week in the town of Saint Jean de Maurine which is at the foot of many famous climbs in the alps.

I rode up the beautiful Col de la Madeline, this was one of the hardest climbs that I've ever done, and 2 years before that I had ridden up the Col de Tourmalet.
While in the alps we HAD to go and conquer the famous Alpe d'Huez, the 21 switch backs were a killer, but luckily I had just enough energy to get to the top of the 14km climb.
It took me 1hr 2mins, I was happy yet disappointed at the same time, I really wanted to go under 1hr, but seeing that I beat everyone else that I was riding with by at least 5mins (one of them by 20mins) I decided that my 1hr.2mins was a fair achievement.

Myself, I'm Australian, I've ridden all of the Australian Alps and these are still stunning climbs. So far in my life I've experienced riding in the Alps of France and Italy and the Pyrenees. I will try to find more people to try and add to my blog and we might be able to come up with the top 10 places in the world to ride!

Also, I'm looking at buying some Carbon Road Bike wheels, I'm currently looking at Zipp 404's and SRAM S60's. If anyone has heard and good or bad things about these wheels please let me know!
The blogging will continue!
